Tennis is one of the most popular sports in the world, enjoyed by millions of people of all ages and skill levels. It is a racket sport played between two players (singles) or two teams of two players each (doubles). The objective of the game is to hit the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to return it within the boundaries of the court.
The game of tennis is played on a rectangular court with a
net in the middle. The court is divided into two halves by a center line and is
further divided into service boxes and baselines. The players use a racket to
hit a ball back and forth over the net, with the aim of making it difficult for
the opponent to return the ball.
In tennis, players must possess a combination of physical
and mental skills to succeed. They must have good hand-eye coordination, speed,
agility, and endurance to move around the court and return shots. They must
also have a strategic mind, able to read their opponent's game and adjust their
own strategy accordingly.
